Slacker was the first indie film I’ve seen back when I was a teenager, but unfortunately it is hard to get into film and I spent my life doing tech things (programming, product managing, designing and A-eyeing).
Citizen Kane and Candy Kane are the same. I watch this film to remind me that there are people on this planet who were born pretentious and douchebag.
I’ve seen Nick Nolte struggle in this fim, I cannot blame him. The reason because Barbra Streisand shouldn’t be the lead actress here, for one she is ugly and second she cannot express herself here. Shoulda, coulda, woulda been Sean Young, she is not only hot but she can really act.
Well, maybe I can tweak The Prince of Tides and replace Barbra with Sean Young.

We lost the art of making really good screenplays. His Girl Friday is one of the greatest screenplays ever made. In fact do a double feature show at home, watch Bull Durham after this. Rosalind Russell and Susan Sarandon are both incredible.
